**We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.**

What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.

When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.

On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.

    ### This local event in the City of Manassas is being organized by volunteers with the Manassas & Manassas Park Cities Democratic Committee on SATURDAY, MARCH 28, from NOON-2 PM (EDT), on the sidewalks along both sides of Sudley Road outside the MANASSAS COMMUNITY CENTER at Marsteller Park ((8750 Sudley Rd , Manassas VA 20110), between Digges Rd and *roughly* Forestwood Ln. Our event marshals, wearing orange vests, will indicate the limits of the sidewalks that are permitted for this protest.

We will stand along those Sudley Road sidewalks with protest signs and small American flags to be seen and heard by those in passing vehicles. For your safety, please stand back from the roadway at all times, and do not stand in any crosswalk or driveway.

Ample free parking will be available in the surface parking lots surrounding the Community Center building, in various surface parking lots at nearby commercial and institutional buildings, and along adjoining residential streets. As a courtesy to the businesses and their customers, please DO NOT PARK at the Wawa or the Canterbury Village Shopping Center. WARNING: To avoid getting towed or booted, DO NOT PARK in ANY parking lot or area with signs posted that prohibit unauthorized parking.

Public restrooms, food, and beverages will be available inside the adjacent Wawa convenience store. The restrooms and water fountains inside the Community Center may also be available.

Our event headquarters will be beneath a blue popup canopy tent on the lawn outside the Community Center, opposite Plantation Lane. Visit our headquarters to learn about various local political activities and to create or pick up a handmade protest sign if you need one. A local band, Circle of Toads, will entertain the crowd with protest songs.

If you have one, please bring a small handheld American flag and a protest sign that speaks to your issue(s). Patriotic attire and costumes are welcome, but optional. In addition, bring a water bottle, dress for the weather, and reach out if you have any questions. And please spread the word!

To create hand-made protest signs for this event, we are separately hosting a sign-making party on Saturday, March 14, from 10:30 am- Noon, in the Community Room at the Prince William Central Library, 8601 Mathis Avenue, Manassas, We’ll supply poster board and colored markers. Please RSVP separately for the sign-making party at https://www.mobilize.us/manassasmanassasparkcitiesdemocraticcommitteemmpcdc/event/899885/ .

    ### IMPORTANT: We have applied for a public gathering permit from the City of Manassas to conduct this event. Participants must obey all pedestrian and traffic laws and may not interfere with the movements of vehicles or pedestrians. Hand-held protest signs, flags, and banners must be no larger than 24”x36”, and their supports must be no larger than 1”x1”x36” and lack sharp ends. Our event marshals, wearing orange vests, will act to de-escalate any potential incidents of harassment, vandalism, or violence. If you see something, say something. If the City requires us to modify our plans, we will notify event registrants in advance via email.

_A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events._
