  • Community Hosted
  • NO KINGS Richmond (CA)

    We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.

    No Kings Richmond is being organized by many local organizations.*

    We will start by creating an ICE OUT human banner at the Richmond Civic Center. Then there will be a march, followed by a rally at 25th and Barrett.

    Here is the schedule (which is subject to change):
    10:00 Human Banner at Richmond Civic Center Plaza;
    10:45 Kickoff speech, then march;
    11:45 Start arriving at the parking lot at 25th and Barrett Ave;
    12:00 Rally: DJ, speeches, and performances.

    It takes a village to stage a No Kings Day! We need your help! We are looking for volunteers. Please let us know if you’d like to be a safety officer (safety vests and training will be provided) or to help out in other ways. It takes a big village to stage a big No Kings Day!

    *No Kings Richmond is organized by the following organizations: United Teachers of Richmond, Richmond Indivisible, East Bay Democratic Socialists of America, Richmond Progressive Alliance, and Contra Costa Labor Council

    What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.

    When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.

    On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.

    *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
