    **We the People. No Kings.**

No Kings Ridgefield is a community celebration of democracy and the enduring belief that power belongs to the people. What began in 2025 as a single day of civic action has grown into a nationwide movement rooted in participation, civic responsibility, and the promise of self-government. From small towns to major cities, communities across the country are coming together to affirm a simple truth: democracy works best when all of us show up. On March 28, neighbors, families, and friends will gather in Ballard Park in a spirit of shared responsibility and collective voice — not as bystanders to history, but as active participants in shaping it.

This family-friendly event will feature a diverse lineup of speakers sharing reflections on democracy and civic life, along with live music from a local chorale group and uplifting songs played over the town stage. Informational and outreach tables hosted by local organizations will offer opportunities to learn more about civic engagement and ways to stay involved. The atmosphere will be welcoming, hopeful, and community-centered — a peaceful gathering that celebrates representation, fairness, and the belief that leadership derives from the consent of the governed.

Participants will gather in the park and on nearby sidewalks, with local police present to help ensure a safe and orderly event.

*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to act lawfully, seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation, and help maintain a respectful and welcoming environment for everyone. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*

Come celebrate democracy, enjoy the music, connect with neighbors, and be part of a positive and peaceful expression of civic pride in Ridgefield.
