Join us to show the world that rural America does NOT agree with our country’s direction! Demand true democracy. Show up and shout out.
Bring family, friends and signs. We plan to stage up to 3 events in West Branch at one time – a banner drop over I-80, a long “standing parade” through downtown with signs that say things like “Public Schools – An Iowa Value” on them and a rally on a corner downtown with more provocative signs.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
