Trump is trying to cancel the midterms. At every step, he is supported by the Republican Party, from the so-called SAVE Act to eliminating all African-heritage Member of Congress from the old Confederacy. We will risk arrest in mid-August to call attention to this atrocity. In this and all our nonviolent actions to protect the elections, from mail in ballots, to polling places, to shutting down the economy, if necessary, to enforce the results, we will need the skills of deescalation and direct action.
