  • Open Mic for Democracy

The Creatives for Democracy, a One Million Rising initiative, uses the arts – music, theater, visuals, etc – in creative ways to educate the public and raise money for Democracy.

Join us for an Open Mic for Democracy “Coffeehouse” style event on Sat. April 25 at the Cornerstone Fellowship, 432 W Gay Street, West
    Chester, PA from 3:00 – 6:00pm.

We are looking for musicians, poets, story-tellers, visual artists, playwrights, actors/singers, dancers, etc. Especially interested in parodies, skits, poems, and the like. Anything that would relate to Saving Democracy, Freedom, Civil Rights, Voting Rights, Saving the Environment, Preserving the Rule of Law, Preserving Caring About Others, etc.

Visual artists: please reach out as soon as possible so we can discuss the size, display needs, and setup requirements for your piece(s) — including whether you’ll need wall space, easels, tables, or power access.

Musicians planning to bring equipment: please send a list of what you’d like to bring (instruments, amps, pedals, etc.) so we can confirm space availability and ensure our sound setup is compatible.

Proceeds will support the PA Council of Churches billboard campaign speaking out against Christian Nationalism. The suggested donation is $10.
