This summer, 82nd Indivisible and friends are passing petitions to put this question on the November ballot: Should we reduce the number of Cedar County supervisors from 5 to 3?
A large majority of Iowa counties have 3 supervisors. Reducing our supervisors will save up to $100,000 per year.
This year, county supervisors voted to cut support for public libraries, senior dining, conservation, the county fair and much more. If county staff and services must be cut, then county supervisors can lead by example.
