Food pantry visits continue to rise as a result of increasing grocery prices, higher costs for everyday necessities, job losses, gas prices that make it costly to even get to work, and health challenges that limit people’s ability to work. As the need for assistance grows, public funding is being diverted to other government priorities, and federal assistance for people in need of food support is becoming more limited.

We are collecting groceries and hygiene items to donate to Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS), a local food pantry that has partnered with the community to alleviate hunger since 1964. IFCS helps supplement the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly called food stamps).

IFCS welcomes any unopened grocery item with an expiration date of 2025 or later. They especially appreciate items that cannot be purchased with SNAP, such as toiletries, feminine hygiene items, and diapers. Please don’t donate anything you wouldn’t offer as a gift to a neighbor, as these ARE our neighbors!

Not sure what to donate? Protein is important. Top ten items requested: 1. Pasta 2. Rice 3. Canned beans 4. Canned tomatoes 5. Mac and Cheese 6. Canned tuna/meat 7. Cereal 8. Peanut Butter 9. Jelly 10. Ramen

Please Note: We are NOT accepting financial contributions. If you can provide financial support, contact IFCS directly (ifcs.org), contribute to a food collection drive of your choice, or donate through www.coloradogives.org

We are all living under a cloud of uncertainty these days. Imagine living with that uncertainty plus food insecurity, losing your source of income, and/or under a constant threat of you or a family member being unlawfully apprehended by ICE or CBP. We can help.

    Thank you for caring!

    This a local Indivisible event!
