Calling all campers and glampers, let’s go camping! If you are not a camper, we invite you to come down at any time during the weekend and just hang out. Saturday we will have a pitch in dinner at 4pm. Please bring a side dish to share and your choice of beverage. Feel free to stay for the rest of the evening and enjoy some smores over the campfire.
Where: Summit Lake State Park, 5993 N. Messick Rd, New Castle, IN 47326
(Summit Lake State park is located northeast of New Castle and southeast of Muncie. The park is 1 mile north of State Highway 36 on Messick Road, 4 miles east of Highway 3.)

Entrance fee to the park is $7.00 per vehicle.
The campground has two loops and we would like if we were close to one another in Loop A. Currently there is a large section of spots that are open in Loop A but spots go quick, so we suggest you reserve your spot early if you are wanting to camp.
Each site (electric) can be reserved for about $45.00 a night. There can be one main camping unit (tent or camper) per campsite, with one additional tent at each site. Therefore, if someone wants to double up and share a campsite, they could do this.
Pets are welcome in the park but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Those who are coming to visit for just the day will have to park in the overflow lot but can unload their camping chairs, coolers, and other items before parking.
The campground has activities that people can join in throughout the weekend, such as different hikes, and they also have bikes, kayaks ($10 an hour or $30 a day) and paddleboats ($15 an hour $40 a day) that can be rented.
