  • Revolution Meets the Road March: From the Crossing to the Capitol: March to D.C.

Many years ago, when things looked dire and the future of the American Revolution hung in the balance, George Washington mounted a surprise expedition across the Delaware River, winning a crucial victory and boosting morale. We, as a nation, are at another critical moment.

Come with us as we march to the Washington Monument in D.C. Like Washington we will cross the Delaware River and then trek over 170 miles through cities and towns, spreading the message that, together, we can resist the actions of a tyrant.

We will march approximately 15 miles a day.

You can march the whole way, for a day, or a mile!

Start Date: May 23rd at 11 AM
Start Location: Washington Crossing Park in New Jersey

    Approximate End Date: June 3rd
End Location: Washington Monument in D.C.

We will be lodging in motels every night.
Last day to reserve your spot to guarantee nightly accommodation is May 1st.

Ways to contribute to the Revolution Meets the Road March:

This will be a costly endeavor, primarily lodging expenses. We are a volunteer group with a very small budget. We would greatly appreciate donations and sponsors. Links will be set up to collect donations. Here are some steps you can take to help.

    1. Provide essential supplies (an amazon Wishlist will be linked at some point)
    2. Sponsor a participant
    3. Sponsor a portion of the trip

Getting to Washington Crossing Park in New Jersey:

Participants are responsible for getting to the park.

If you are coming from Long Island, you can drive or take a train. There are long-term parking lots about 15 mins from the park where you can leave your car and then take a ride share to the starting point.

If we get enough people, we can charter a bus from NYC. But that depends on signups and donations.

    What to bring:

We will have some support vehicles that can carry your belongings to the motels each night. Please pack only essentials as space is at a premium. Bring clothes, good sneakers, sunscreen, and hygiene products.

Bring signs! Bring flags! We want to be seen as we march!

More information will be provided as we finalize things. Watch for notifications.

Ready to march? Come with us! Register for the days you want to march so we know how many people to plan for.
