Are you as concerned as I am about this upcoming, crucial-to-our-democracy election? Are you concerned with the possible deployment of thousands of Department of Justice “observers” to our nation’s polling locations on November 3rd? What about the rise of the “surveillance state” in America? How about more information on safely dissenting, exercising our First Amendment rights? Then join Indivisible Naperville on Monday evening at 6:30 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for a conversation with Kevin Fee, Legal Director of the ACLU Illinois. Kevin oversees the ACLU of Illinois’s legal strategy and litigation docket. We have asked him to give an overview of the issues upon which the ACLU is most focused now and what we can do to support their efforts. He is no stranger to Naperville, having been one of our guest speakers at our NO Kings III protest this past March. Please come, share your questions, and learn a bit more about our political landscape right now. Please bring your own drink and a little snack to share.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
