A group of democracy defenders initiated monthly Signs of Fascism* visibilities in May on the public sidewalk in front of Wentworth Douglas Hospital, 789 Central Ave., Dover, NH.
The group plans to continue the silent visibilities on the 3rd Thursday of each month for the foreseeable future. We welcome other participants to join. Future visibilities will be held from 4 to 6 pm, starting July 16, Aug 20, Sept 17, etc., until daylight causes hours to shift. No raindate will be substituted.
Signs of Fascism visibilities have been held across the country (search YouTube*). The already prepared signs are based on the writings of historian Timothy Snyder in his work ‘On Tyranny’.
The Dover-based group has set a goal to hold a second visibility in the NH/ME Seacoast region each month.
We seek to create a pool of activists willing to participate in these visibilities, and invite suggestions from anyone would like to collaborate to bring our SoF visibility to their community. RSVPs and suggestions to piratefrenchey@gmail.com
