(Look for Jan’s YELLOW JEEP to pick up your sign)
⏰ 11:30 am—LOOK for Jan’s YELLOW JEEP sign-in and pick up your sign.
⏰ 11:45 am: LINEUP for a photo op, get marching instructions, safety tips, and route information.
⏰ NOON: Begin MARCH.
Please join us in taking a stand against ICE and creating public awareness about the indicators of Fascism.
Our march is part of Good Trouble Indivisible’s ongoing regional “SIGNS OF FASCISM” series across West Michigan.
This impactful, public awareness march has already taken place in Douglas, Saugatuck, Fennville, Holland, Zeeland, South Haven, and Allegan— and is now coming to Grand Haven!
Residents are encouraged to join us.
Good Trouble Indivisible invites you to participate in one of our most powerful nonviolent actions: a silent performance march called SIGNS OF FASCISM will be our first lap through the downtown area.
The second lap through the downtown will represent ICE OUT FOR GOOD.
Participants walk silently, in the first lap of our SIGNS OF FASCISM MARCH, single file, through downtown — dressed in all black — each carrying a stark black-and-white sign naming one warning sign of authoritarianism in America today.
A slow heartbeat drum sets the pace. No chanting. No shouting. No confrontation.
The second lap, representing ICE OUT FOR GOOD, will emulate the first lap’s style and demeanor.
All signs are provided at the start of the march.
This is a peaceful, disciplined, visibility action designed to make people pause, reflect, and see what is happening in our country.
