This a local Indivisible event by the Justice Coalition of Greater Clear Lake
On the morning of June 13, we will hold a Flag Day action, a celebration of freedom, democracy and the US Constitution on the 1-year anniversary of the first No Kings protest in League City!
Stand with us together again from 10-11:30 am on Saturday, June 13 – distributed, organized, and united – while we build the capability to expand our rapid response corner mobilization!
We will disperse groups of less than 150 across multiple public spaces to demonstrate our constitutionally protected right to free speech and adhere to League City’s ordinance for special events.
This distributed approach will allow rapid response to “Your Corner” the next time a war is started for false reasons, American citizens are murdered by ICE, or a five-year old is kidnapped in Minnesota and flown to Dilley, Texas.
Each selected location will have a designated Leader and Safety Team member. All sites are public property, Constitutionally protected for peaceful assembly, ADA-accessible by City ordinance, and have undergone safety reviews by the Coalition. Each location also has accessible parking. We strongly encourage carpooling to reduce congestion, minimize impact on nearby businesses and our neighbors, and simplify logistics.
Group sizes will vary by location, with some small teams and some larger clusters, all coordinated to maintain visibility, safety, and message discipline.
*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
