The Indivisible Mass Coalition’s Immigration Justice Action Team (IJAT) is honored to co-host a special virtual screening of the documentary film, The Next Dream, followed by a panel discussion with members of the Massachusetts TPS Committee, National TPS Alliance, and Boston Experimental Theatre Company.
Join us to hear directly from TPS holders and advocates about a humanitarian crisis unfolding in communities across the country—and what we can do about it.
Following the film, members of the Massachusetts TPS Committee and National TPS Alliance will share the latest developments and concrete actions we can take together to protect our friends, neighbors, and community members whose lives and families are now at risk.
## Why This Matters Now
Since early 2025, the Trump administration has systematically moved to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 1 million immigrants from countries affected by war, political violence, natural disasters, and other humanitarian crises. And on June 25, 2026, the Supreme Court issued a major ruling that sharply narrowed the ability of courts to block TPS terminations while legal challenges proceed.
TPS allows people already living in the United States whose home countries are unsafe for return to live and work legally in the U.S. without fear of deportation. Many TPS holders have lived here for years or even decades, building families, careers, businesses, and communities.
The administration’s sweeping termination of TPS protections is now placing more than a million people at risk of losing their legal status and work authorization—and potentially facing detention, deportation, family separation, and return to countries where conditions remain dangerous.

Produced by Steve Marx, Laura Bean, and Vahdat Yeganeh, in collaboration with the Boston Experimental Theatre Company, Massachusetts TPS Committee, and National TPS Alliance, The Next Dream is a powerful new documentary telling the stories of TPS families across the United States.
Through the voices of TPS holders and their families, the film explores what is at stake when people who have built their lives in this country face the possibility of deportation, separation from U.S.-born children, loss of employment and health care, and disruption of their education and communities.
