  • The Vote Is Sacred Tour – Thomasville, Georgia

Interfaith Alliance is grateful to partner with Georgia FWD, Georgia Interfaith Public Policy Center, and First Missionary Baptist Church for our Thomasville, GA stop. Featuring a press conference at First Missionary Baptist, a caravan to an early voting location and block party, then an election protection training, you’ll hear from national and local faith leaders as we stand together in solidarity for democracy and civic participation.

The training, in partnership with Election Defenders, will focus on preparing community members to support voters outside polling locations, including situational awareness, de-escalation, voter care, documentation and reporting, and Georgia-specific election safety rules.

When signing up for this event, you will find three shifts:

Shift 1 (3:00 – 4:00 PM): Press conference at First Missionary Baptist Church & Caravan to the Polls
Shift 2 (4:00 – 5:00 PM): Block Party at the Polls (location to be sent on RSVP)
Shift 3 (5:00-6:30 PM): Election Protection training with Election Defenders at First Missionary Baptist Church

Please sign up for all events you plan to join by clicking the check mark next to the relevant events.

The Vote Is Sacred 2026 is Interfaith Alliance’s nationwide effort to protect our democracy and empower people of faith to get out the vote in the midterm elections. At the heart of The Vote Is Sacred is a cross-country bus tour, launching October 6 in Omaha and running through Election Day: a month on the road in the communities where the freedom to vote is under the most pressure, with public gatherings that platform local clergy and faith communities, election protection trainings, voter registration and canvassing anchored at the bus, and vigils standing against fear and intimidation at the ballot box.

Join us, because the vote is sacred, and democracy needs people of faith.
