  • Understanding My Ballot: The Two August State Questions

All Oklahoma voters will see two state questions on the August 25 ballot. The wording on your ballot can be hard to follow or vague, so we are getting together to walk through what each one actually does in plain English.
Join us upstairs at Kamps 1910 Cafe in Oklahoma City for a voter education session.

    What we’ll cover:

    • SQ 846: a proposed change to the Oklahoma Constitution dealing with voter ID.
    • SQ 844: how the state reimburses counties for a manufacturing property tax exemption, and what that means for schools and local services.
    • How state questions find their way to your ballot.

You’ll leave knowing what each measure says, what supporters and critics argue, and the real-world consequences to weigh before you vote.

    Schedule:
Come early, grab a bite or a drink and mingle before the program begins.
    Program runs 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., upstairs.

    Details:
    Date: Thursday, July 23
Place: Kamps 1910 Cafe, 10 NE 10th St, Oklahoma City
    All voters welcome.
