Here in Colorado, and across the country, ICE agents are entering small businesses without warrants and detaining people. Their aggressive tactics are creating fear and uncertainty in our immigrant communities.
Businesses don’t always know what to do when ICE shows up — we want to make sure they have the resources and “Know Your Rights” information they need to help keep their employees safe.
We are collaborating with our local Immigration Protection Team, Mountain Dreamers, and concerned neighbors to canvass business owners in the valley and recommend steps they can take to stand up to ICE.
Join us for a training on helping local businesses prepare for and respond to ICE activity. Joel Schmidt of Indivisible Denver/Signs of Solidarity, who has extensive experience canvassing businesses and training other groups on best practices, will conduct the training.
