On **October 17,** Indivisible Santa Maria will have a nonpartisan **No Kings “Vote Early”** event at Santa Maria City Hall. (SM City Hall will be our main location along with 3 others.) We will have informational tabling and musical entertainment along with other activities **”to get the vote out”. As usual, we cannot do any event without your help!**
Join us by helping with the **largest voter turnout** in the Santa Maria area, including Guadalupe & Orcutt.
Please choose from the following volunteer opportunities.
**Set up.** This is about getting our greeter table, etc., set up and get supplies organized. You’ll need to arrive 1 hour ahead of the event.
**First Aid.** This is helping make sure everybody is doing ok, alerting the organizers if you see anybody that needs help. If you’re trained in first aid, we need your help in this area.
**Safety Monitors.** It’s important that everybody stays on the sidewalk, and monitors help remind attendees of this. Also, help with keeping things non-confrontational. This a peaceful, non-violent protest. You’ll need to arrive 1 hour ahead of the event. There will also be **training on October 13 (Tuesday) 4-6 PM NO Kings Poster Party & Safety Meeting. **Donations for Colectivo Mariposa.** We will need people to help with the collection at the beginning when the majority of the folks arrive. We will also need some to help load it at the end of the protest.
**Clean up.** We want to leave the area better than we found it and we need your help to do that. Bring a trash bag and pick up the trash, whether ours or not. This will mean staying 15-30 minutes after the event.
Unable to help this time? Can you donate a case of water? Bring it with you on October 17!
**As you can see, there’s plenty of ways to help. Let me know by responding to this email if you’re available, and how you’d like to pitch in.**
**Thank you so much for your support!**
