NO KINGS: VOTEFEST NYC — Long Live the Vote!

Voting is an act of resistance. Join us for an afternoon of music, poetry, art and community as we turn the energy of NO KINGS into participation at the polls.

    We’re deeply honored to welcome:

    – Rev. Al Sharpton
    – Academy Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham
    – Nia Alvarez-Mapp, Organizing Manager at Common Cause New York
    – Voting rights attorney Hazel Weisser
    – Youth poet Za’riah Jones
    – Youth advocate Nova Wittenstein Brent

    Live performances by:

    – Resistance Revival Chorus
    – HONK NYC
    – Curtis Watts Trio
    – Daso Y El Grupo Cemi

Community advocate Salua Baida will emcee the afternoon.

There’s plenty to take part in throughout the afternoon. Register to vote or check your registration with HeadCount, learn about the candidates with Pillars, make a voting plan, and find out how to help protect our elections. Meet local organizations, join hands-on civic activities, and add your voice to the WHY WE VOTE wall.

Already registered? Bring someone who isn’t. Already planning to vote? Help a friend, family member or neighbor make their plan. VOTEFEST is about building a culture of participation that continues long after the afternoon ends.

Come for the music, meet your neighbors, and leave ready to turn out the vote.

    Long Live the Vote!

No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.
