October 17 is No Kings Day
The wannabe-king is intent on sabotaging our midterms. This weekend, we turn out by the millions to nonviolently defend our elections, our democracy, and our rights. First in the streets, and then at the polls. Join us.
Join Indivisible: We Will Persist for a peaceful, nonviolent demonstration with opportunities to connect with local organizations committed to justice and equity.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are still working out a few details with the City of Wentzville. If anything changes you will be sent a notification via Mobilize.
Signage
Wentzville has an ordinance that limits sign dimensions to 24″x24″, and a banner cannot exceed 8’wide and 3’ high. If the sign has a staff, it cannot be larger than 40” and must be blunt on each end. IWWP appreciates the professionalism of the Wentzville Police Department, so please help maintain a good relationship with them by complying with their ordinances.
Please be sensitive to the needs of businesses in the area and refrain from using the parking spots set aside for their customers. There is plenty of parking in Walmart’s lot.
There is an easy access point to the sidewalk between Walgreens and Applebee’s. Help show your appreciation to the local community by doing a little shopping or having a bite to eat before or after the protest.
This a local Indivisible event!
*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
