  • What’s Next After No Kings – Training

Following No Kings we want to build on our mobilization skills and begin to hone concrete organizing approaches to face authoritarianism in our local communities.

From ICE deportations and election interference, to the war in Iran, authoritarians are making a grab for power. We know from generations of struggle, the route to a better democracy comes when we organize in our local communities and build collective power.

This April 18th, regional organizers will be coming to Missoula to bring a cutting edge training workshop that is open to all attendees from No Kings, Indivisible, and other progressive organizing spaces.

This training will offer updates on national organizing campaigns from boycotts and direct action to neighborhood organizing. There is something for every style of organizing. Trainers will help connect you to local organizing efforts in our community.

    Topics will include:

    – How to win: Tools for long term strategic planning
    – Overview of the Climate Crisis, Iran War and threats to Democracy
    – Action planning 101
    – Role of disruptive actions
    – Strategies for mapping and communicating with differing political positions
    – Effective campaign messaging
    – From activist to organizer: Leadership in a time of crisis
    – Organizational structure building

We’ll provide a light breakfast and lunch. There will be opportunity for more leadership/organizational learning from 2-4pm.

Location details will be provided when you register.
