🗳️ Every election, the rules that decide who gets to vote and whether their ballot actually counts are written and rewritten by people most of us never meet. Join us on Zoom for a plain-language conversation about what makes an election free and fair: ballot access, accurate voter rolls, secure and verifiable counting, and the certification process that turns votes into results.
📋 We’ll walk through how these systems work, where they’re under pressure right now, and how to tell a real threat from noise. You’ll get a clear picture of what’s happening in Colorado and nationally, plus time for questions. No background knowledge required, and no jargon. Bring your curiosity and your skepticism.
🤝 You’ll leave with concrete next steps: how to check your own registration, how to become a poll worker or election observer, which decisions in your county are open to public comment, a clear picture of upcoming and proposed ballot initiatives, and how to talk with neighbors about all of it without starting a fight. Democracy isn’t a spectator sport.
