  • Indivisible Celebrates Democratic House Majority Built by the Grassroots, Calls on New Majority to Deliver on Affordability and Accountability

    Nov 4, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tonight, Indivisible joins voters across the country in celebrating the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives. Indivisible groups across the country spent months knocking doors, making calls, and sending texts in competitive House districts as part of the largest midterm election program in Indivisible’s history.

“Make no mistake: this majority was won by the millions of people who refused to accept Trump’s abuses of power,” said Leah Greenberg, Co-Executive Director of Indivisible. “When ICE terrorized Minnesota communities, they took to the streets for ICE Out. When billionaires lined up behind Trump, they marched for No Kings. When Trump threatened our elections, they organized thousands of events and drove historic early voting numbers. Then they registered voters, knocked doors, and turned out their neighbors to flip the House. Indivisible groups did that work in every corner of the country because they believe our democracy is worth fighting for. Tonight, we celebrate with them. Tomorrow, we get back to work making sure this new majority delivers.”

“Voters didn’t hand Democrats this majority so they could run the same old playbook,” said Ezra Levin, Co-Executive Director of Indivisible. “They want leaders who will take on the corruption driving up the cost of groceries, rent, and health care, hold Trump and his billionaire backers accountable, stand against cruel immigration policies and mass deportations, and refuse to bankroll endless, unjust wars at the expense of working families. That means using every oversight tool the House has, banning congressional stock trading, getting big money out of our politics, and using Congress’s power to rein in executive abuses. The people who marched for No Kings and knocked doors this fall aren’t going home. Every member of this new majority owes their gavel to them, and Indivisible will make sure they don’t forget it.”

    About Indivisible’s 2026 Electoral Program

Last November, after Senate Democrats surrendered and voted to end the 41-day government shutdown without securing any commitments to lower health care costs or protect working families, Indivisible announced its largest primary program in the movement’s history to turn the page on failed Democratic leadership and elect fighters, not folders.

Indivisible endorsements started with local groups, which endorsed candidates, recommended them for a national endorsement, and then spent months knocking doors, making calls, and sending texts to carry them through competitive primaries and the general election. Many candidates took on establishment-backed opponents and turned down corporate PAC, crypto, AI, and AIPAC money – and 11 Indivisible-endorsed candidates won their primary races across the country.

    Indivisible-endorsed House Primary winners include:

    • Will Lawrence and Donavan McKinney in the MI-07 and MI-13 Congressional races
    • Brad Lander and Darializa Avila Chevalier in the NY-10 and NY-13 Congressional races
    • Analilia Mejia in the NJ-11 Congressional race
    • Randy Villegas  and Dr. Aisha Wahab in the CA-22 and CA-14 Congressional races
    • Dr. Jasmine Clark in the GA-13 Congressional race
    • Justin J. Pearson in the TN-09 Congressional race

After a historic primary season, Indivisible Action launched its 2026 General Election Program on a call with thousands of grassroots leaders from across the country. The program had three goals: flip the Senate, win a strong Democratic majority in the House, and build the grassroots power to turn a Democratic victory into aggressive action on accountability, affordability, and corruption in 2027.

The program was built in response to the No Kings movement, which brought millions of Americans into the streets to oppose authoritarianism, corruption, and the concentration of power in the hands of Trump and his wealthy allies. On October 17, the No Kings: Vote Early national day of action held nearly 3,000 voter events nationwide. Across states reporting up-to-date data, early voting that day was up 43% in counties with No Kings: Vote Early events, compared to the last midterms. This built on the three largest protests in American history: No Kings 1, No Kings 2, and No Kings 3.

The midterm election results show that voters want leaders who will fight for them, not protect a corrupt status quo. Indivisible’s polling with Lake Research Partners found that 73% of battleground voters are more likely to support candidates who fight to lower costs and hold the powerful accountable. The incoming Congress must meet that mandate by confronting the Trump regime and its billionaire backers, tackling the affordability crisis, and challenging corruption and entrenched power. Tonight, voters made clear that they expect Democrats to fight for them and deliver results.
