Washington, D.C. — Today, Mari Urbina, Managing Director of Indivisible Action, released the following statement celebrating the election of Judge Daniel McCaffery to Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court:
“Judge McCaffery’s election is a testament to his record and pro-choice platform, but a product of Indivisibles on the ground who have worked tooth and nail to turnout voters for this election. It is not only a resounding win for democracy and personal freedom, but also a clear rejection of MAGA extremism by voters in Pennsylvania.
“Throughout the campaign, the GOP spent millions of dollars to elect Carolyn Carluccio and made baseless attacks against McCaffrey. Despite these attempts, Carluccio and the MAGA GOP simply couldn’t pay their way into the hearts of Pennsylvania voters. McCaffery won because his record and unwavering commitment to abortion access, working families, and democracy resonates with voters. Tonight, we are celebrating with Pennsylvania Indivisibles and taking important lessons on the path to victory in 2024.”
Indivisible has been supporting leaders on the ground from Indivisible Philadelphia, who have been working with a coalition of activists across the state to send texts, make phone calls, and connect with voters through their Neighbor2Neighbor and 35 Doors canvassing programs.
