The Indivisible Project today unveiled its 2020 “We are Indivisible” pledge that asks Democratic presidential candidates and grassroots Indivisible groups to commit to a constructive primary, backing the eventual Democratic presidential nominee and working to defeat Trump in November.
The Indivisible Project’s co-founders and Co-Executive Directors Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin will release a new book “We Are Indivisible: A Blueprint For Democracy After Trump” on November 5, 2019. Author proceeds go to Indivisible’s new “Save Democracy Fund.”
On Thursday, April 4, Indivisible will mobilize for the “Nobody is Above the Law” Day of Action to call on Attorney General William Barr to release the full, unredacted Mueller report. Alongside coalition partners — including MoveOn, Public Citizen, People For the American Way — Indivisible will hold more than 300 events across the country on Thursday to make it clear that people want the report to be made public. Most protests will start at 5 pm local time. In Washington D.C., a flagship rally will be held in front of the White House.
We are disappointed that the New York state legislature decided to ignore the needs of the people and left out key Fair Elections details from the budget, punting the issue to a commission without binding requirements to ensure a robust program. We are grateful to our champion legislators and the New York Senate for their work, and we are proud of Indivisibles across the state who relentlessly pushed their representatives to finally improve our electoral system. We know they are not satisfied and will continue this fight.
The Indivisible movement started organizing after Trump was elected, but it wasn’t just about Trump — it was about saving American democracy. As Republicans continue working to serve corporate interests and specifically to disenfranchise people of color, it is vital that Democrats show their commitment to ensuring that everyone has the unimpeded right to participate in our democracy.
Our hearts are breaking for our Muslim friends and neighbors, and our global community. We see you, we love you and we stand shoulder to shoulder with you in the fight for a future without fear. We absolutely must recognize that the motivation for this horror was rooted in Islamophobia and white nationalism, poisons that are actively being spread by elected officials, pundits, and a rising white nationalist movement here in our own country and around the world.
