The Voter Engagement Tactics (VET) Guide is your detailed resource for planning successful voter engagement programs all year, every year!

Are you and your group ready to start talking to voters in your community about what’s at stake? Are you unsure of how to get started? Are you a group that has talked with voters before and would like more guidance on effectively reaching out to voters?

The Voter Engagement Tactics (VET) Guide is here to help!

The VET Guide is your detailed resource for planning successful voter engagement programs all year, every year! The Guide will help you visualize your desired outcome, set your goal, plan your strategy, and choose your tactics to connect with voters at the local level. From connecting with voters on the issues they care about, garnering support for a candidate, to getting the vote out right before an election. The VET Guide will help you start from scratch and see you through to the successful end.

In the VET Guide, you’ll learn:

    • When certain messaging is most effective
    • The tools and methods necessary to achieve your goal and how to access them through Indivisible
    • Handy next steps and best practices to help your group be prepared at every step
    • Using voter engagement work to grow your group
    • How to use the planning worksheet to outline your voter engagement program

Use the VET Guide beyond election years. It will help you with any type of voter engagement work you and your group have in mind — whether during an important midterm or presidential election cycle or during an “off” year when you can build relationships with voters and strengthen your group’s presence in your community!
