Washington, D.C. — Today, Indivisible’s Chief Campaigns Officer Sarah Dohl released the following statement on Indivisible’s endorsement of Judge Susan Crawford in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election:
“Susan Crawford has spent her career in the trenches for Wisconsin—fighting for workers, defending reproductive freedom, and holding the line against the right-wing extremists hell-bent on dismantling our democracy. She has the experience, backbone, and common sense that Wisconsinites need on their Supreme Court.
“The stakes of this election couldn’t be clearer—or more dire. The future of abortion rights, worker protections, and fair elections in Wisconsin is on the line. Do we want justices who uphold the law and protect our fundamental freedoms, or do we want Brad Schimel—a MAGA loyalist who dreams of dragging Wisconsin back to the 19th century? The choice is obvious, and Indivisible is all in. We’re backing grassroots activists across Wisconsin who are fighting like hell to send Susan Crawford to the bench.
“Indivisible helped power the historic victory of Judge Janet Protasiewicz in 2023, and we’re ready to do it again. Our volunteers know exactly what’s at stake, and they won’t stop until they’ve secured another major win for their state. We’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in this fight—and we won’t let up until Susan Crawford is elected.”
In the last Wisconsin Supreme Court race with Judge Janet Protasiewicz, Indivisible helped support activists on the ground by sending over 560,000 texts to voters through our award-winning texting program, leading with messaging on abortion and democracy. This race, Indivisible will continue to build on the model of that previous program with tools like phonebanking, texting and sending postcards for Susan Crawford.
22 Indivisible groups across the state of Wisconsin gathered virtually right after the 2025 election, and unanimously decided to direct their focus and advocacy around this race.
"Here in rural Wisconsin, we know what it means to fight for fairness—whether it’s fair wages, fair elections, or fair treatment under the law. Susan Crawford understands that and has spent her career standing up for everyday Wisconsinites, not corporate interests or political extremists. I’m proud to support her because we need justices who put people first,” said Cyndi Greening with Indivisible Chippewa Valley.
"Wisconsin's Indivisible Door County is thrilled that Susan Crawford has received the endorsement of Indivisible National. Judge Crawford's victory will be a critical progressive brick in the wall holding back MAGA fascism across America. Communities across this country are struggling to regain the sense of fairness, dignity, and decency that Judge Crawford will bring to the court. The eyes of the nation are properly focused on this race,” said Mike and Judy Brodd with Indivisible Door County.
"As a parent, I want my kids to grow up in a Wisconsin where their rights are protected—whether it’s the right to make their own healthcare decisions or the right to vote in fair elections. Susan Crawford has spent her career fighting for those rights, and I trust her to defend our democracy. That’s why I’m knocking doors and making calls to help get her elected,” said Emily Tseffos with Indivisible Fox Valley.
"This isn’t just about one election—it’s about safeguarding the progress we've made on issues like voting rights, climate justice, and healthcare access. Wisconsin needs leaders like Susan Crawford who will fight for the people, not for special interests or partisan agendas. Indivisible activists like me are stepping up because the stakes are too high, and the future of our state depends on it,” said Andy Guss with Grassroots Menomonee Falls Area.
