FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 10, 2025
Washington, D.C. — Today, Indivisible’s National Advocacy Director, Andrew O’Neill, issued the following statement on the House GOP’s passage of the budget resolution:
“Republicans have doubled down on their plan to gut Medicaid and SNAP to pay for billionaire handouts. Now they’re headed home for April recess, hoping that they can hide out and avoid accountability. But we’re not letting them get away with it. Indivisibles across the country are mobilizing over the next 10 days to make our message to Republicans loud and clear: We see what you’re doing, we won’t let you get away with it. We will fight back.”
Indivisibles all over the country are planning to mobilize during April recess by hosting empty chair town halls and protests in front of GOP district offices to demand they ‘Stops the Cuts’ that Trump, Musk, and Republicans are trying to push. See a list of events taking place next week here.

ABOUT THE INDIVISIBLE PROJECT
The Indivisible Project (501c4) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people. Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the right-wing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
