    • STATE OF PLAY

    In just days, Trump’s administration has launched an unprecedented and illegal power grab, gutting essential protections, handing control of federal financial systems to a billionaire, and openly defying the courts. This is not just corruption—it’s a coup in progress.

    • The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) attempted economic terrorism. A memo cut all federal funding for child nutrition, healthcare for tens of millions, domestic violence shelters, and veterans’ programs. The backlash was immediate. A federal judge issued an injunction. Trump was forced to retreat—for now.
    • Elon Musk and his muskrats were secretly given access to the U.S. Treasury Payments system. Musk demanded access to a system that moves trillions of dollars, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave it to him. Will he block payments to safety-net programs? Funnel confidential financial data to his private companies? We don’t know—because there is zero oversight. Reminder: Nobody elected Elon Musk. But now, he has his hands on the government’s financial infrastructure.
    • Trump’s team just gutted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Acting Director Russell Vought ordered all investigations and enforcement actions to stop. Banks, payday lenders, and credit card companies can now scam Americans with zero consequences. There is no longer a functioning agency to hold Wall Street accountable. The people who regulate the $16 trillion consumer debt market have been fired or reassigned.
    • JD Vance openly declared that the courts are illegitimate if they try to stop Trump. After a federal judge blocked Trump’s economic sabotage, Vance tweeted that judges have no right to constrain the president’s power. This is full-blown authoritarian rhetoric. The plan is clear: ignore the courts, ignore Congress, and govern by decree.

    What we need right now is an unprecedented show of constituent power to hold Republicans accountable for their complicity in the Trump-Musk coup and demand that Democrats in Congress use every ounce of leverage and power they have to fight back.

  • HOUSE ASKS

    • OUR ASKS: HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

    Trump and Musk are trying to bulldoze every check on their power, but Congress still has the ability to fight back—if we make them. House Democrats need to go all-in to use their leverage and every procedural tool that's available to fight back, and Republicans need to feel the heat for enabling the Trump-Musk coup and the harm that it will do to people all over the country. 

    Every single member of Congress must be forced to take a side. Will they stand with working people, or with the billionaires looting the country? Remind them that it's Elon or us, but it can't be both.

    If You Have a Republican Representative: Make Them Own the Coup

    House Republicans are enabling the Trump-Musk coup by pushing an extremist budget that slashes critical programs, attacks basic rights, and hands control of government spending to Trump’s billionaire allies. Every Republican needs to be put on notice: if they vote for this budget—if they continue to shrug their shoulders as the Trump-Musk coup unfolds—they will pay a political price.

    Demand they stop enabling these MAGA power plays and pass a responsible budget that protects working people—not billionaires.

    • Call them out publicly: Flood their phone lines, town halls, and district offices. Demand they explain why they’re handing billionaires more power over government spending than the voters who elected them.
    • Force them to take a stance: Make them go on the record. Ask directly: Will you vote for a budget that lets Trump and Musk override spending decisions and slash Social Security? No dodging. No excuses.
    • Tie them to the consequences: If they vote for a MAGA budget, make sure every voter in their district knows exactly what they did.
    • Show up online and in person: Expose their complicity in every way possible—local news, social media, direct actions in their districts.

    Republicans think they can get away with this because they believe no one is paying attention. It’s time to prove them wrong.

    If You Have a Democratic Representative: Make Them Use Their Leverage

    Because of ongoing Republican chaos in the House, House Democrats have the ability to block any budget deal that enables Trump’s sabotage. Demand that they refuse to give their votes on any budget that does not protect against the Trump-Musk coup and commit to using procedural hardball to delay and defy Trump's agenda wherever possible.

    • Demand they vote NO on any funding bill that doesn’t include ironclad protections against Trump’s financial coup.
    • Tell them to hold hearings and subpoena Musk and Vought to force Republicans to defend them on the record.
    • Make them commit to using procedural tools to slow down House business and expose GOP complicity.

  • SENATE ASKS

    The Senate is the last line of defense against Trump and Musk’s power grab. Republicans rubber-stamped Vought, but now they’re panicking about Project 2025. Every senator needs to be forced to take a stand.

    If You Have a Republican Senator: Make Them Feel the Cost

    Senate Republicans need four defections to stop Trump’s next wave of extremist appointments—people like Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, and RFK Jr. They know Project 2025 is politically toxic, and they’re desperate to avoid being tied to it.

    • Demand they vote NO on Trump’s next nominees.
    • Ask them publicly: Do you support Project 2025? Are you willing to hand Trump unchecked power over the courts, the economy, and the military?
    • Let them know that voters will not forget where they stood in this moment.

    If You Have a Democratic Senator: Make Them Hold the Line

    Democrats held the floor for 30 hours to try to block Vought, but the fight isn’t over. They need to keep up that level of resistance—not just for one nominee, but for every part of Trump’s agenda.

    • Demand they vote NO on every Trump nominee and block his judicial picks.
    • Push them to use every procedural tool available to slow down and obstruct Trump’s takeover.
    • Make sure they understand: This isn’t business as usual. If they don’t fight now, it will be too late.

    TRUMP IS NOT A KING—AND WE ARE NOT POWERLESS

    Trump wants you to feel powerless. Do not fall for it. Republicans hold Congress, but they are not all-powerful. The only way they succeed in breaking the government, defunding vital programs, and handing the spoils to billionaires like Musk is if we let them.

    We are at a breaking point. Democrats can fight like hell, or they can roll over and let this happen. But if they choose the latter, we must make sure they regret it. And for Republicans—they need to hear loud and clear that their constituents (the people they work for) will not stand by as they let Donald Trump and an unelected billionaire sell our democracy for parts. 

    Remember: Trump is not invincible. He has no mandate. His agenda is cruel, corrupt, chaotic, and deeply unpopular. And the longer it goes on, the harder it is to sustain in the face of real opposition. That’s our job now—to build that opposition. We need you to step up, speak out, and demand a real fight.
