What Makes This Group Excited About Their Candidate
Jen Schultz was a successful and accomplished State of Minnesota Legislator for four terms. She has a PhD in Healthcare Economics and is a union faculty member at the University of Minnesota, indicating intelligence and determination to succeed despite the barriers faced by her and her family. She’s had to make use of student loans and low paying jobs to make higher education accessible to her, so understands on a personal level the struggles of those without high levels of family wealth.
Jen is mounting a vigorous and inspiring campaign, participating in an impressive number of parades, “meet and greets”, local events, and, notably, support of striking workers. Her determination and energy are contagious and an inspiration to members of Itasca Area Indivisible and other local activist groups. The events are well attended, and we can see the enthusiasm for her candidacy growing over the months.
Jen is “fearless” and will cheerfully and enthusiastically approach individuals and groups of all political persuasions. Her campaign is positive – but with no fear of criticizing the opponent – and is very aligned with Itasca Area Indivisible’s values. She is an excellent and experienced candidate, and a champion who has earned our enthusiastic confidence and support.
