This summer, the Trump administration tried to shut down the ongoing review of the Jeffrey Epstein case. No client list. No charges. No further investigation. Just Pam Bondi's Department of Justice claiming the case is over and there’s nothing to see.
But it turns out that Americans don’t like it when elected officials cover for their millionaire pedophile besties, whatever their political party. Demands for a full release of the files have come from across the political spectrum, and Trump and his enablers in Congress have tried with increasing desperation to shut down the outcry and block any real new information from being released—especially the parts that may potentially implicate Trump and his decades-long friendship with the infamous monster.
Mike Johnson shut down the House and sent members of Congress home early rather than allow them to vote on legislation calling for a release of the Epstein files, abandoning the real work on behalf of Americans that SHOULD be the top priority of Congress.
- They “interviewed” Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell—who was notorious for lying under oath and is currently serving decades in prison for sex trafficking—and held up her claims that Trump never did anything wrong as “proof.” Then they moved Maxwell to a plush minimum-security prison that’s not supposed to house sex offenders. Was it a direct thank-you? We can’t know exactly what happened, but doing favors for a child sex trafficker just after she tried to provide an alibi to Trump would be a terrifying use of Presidential power. He even considered offering her a pardon, to the fury and horror of the families of her many underage victims.
- They’ve made big showy announcements that they’re releasing more files, only for it to be the same re-hashed, over-redacted files that have been available to the public for years.
- Trump has even publicly stated that it would be a hostile act to sign the Khanna/Massie discharge petition that demands the release of all files.
They thought this scandal would die down, but instead it’s only continued to grow as new details have come to light. Trump tried demanding that his supporters stop talking about it, promised to release some of the files, and tried any number of outlandish distractions. But none of it worked, and the push for full accountability and justice for the powerful elites who are counting on Trump to protect them is as strong as ever.
Now, it’s up to us to expose the lies, end the cover-up and demand accountability from everyone involved.
