Washington, DC — Indivisible, the national grassroots organization recently known for spearheading the nationwide No Kings protests, announced its plans for a digital ad campaign targeting fans of Andor, the critically-acclaimed Star Wars show that chronicles the beginnings of the resistance to the fictional universe’s evil empire.
Following the success of the No Kings mobilization, which saw many Andor fans take to the streets, Indivisible will be running digital ads via Meta, targeting the Star Wars fandom, as well sponsoring host-read ads on fan discussion podcast episodes, beginning with this week’s episode of A Storm of Spoilers.
“Indivisible’s mission is to welcome new communities to the movement against this regime and show them the tools they can use to organize against it,” said Ezra Levin, co-executive director of Indivisible. “Just like on the show, we want to help people move from personal frustration and occasional protest, to more sustained and inter-connected defiance. At Indivisible, we’re experts on helping new people get involved in activism -- and we literally have ‘friends everywhere,’ since there are 2,600+ local Indivisible groups around the country. So this feels like a natural fit.”
The Andor fandom will be invited to join local Indivisible groups, sign up for updates on daily actions, and participate in the upcoming trainings, One Million Rising.
“At Indivisible, we’re working with experts who've studied anti-authoritarian movements around the world -- just like Andor’s creator Tony Gilroy did, in fact,” Levin said. “History tells us that if you want to stop an evil empire, what you need to do is build a community that organizes against it in a sustained way and engages in non-violent protest regularly. That’s what this campaign is all about. The Andor fandom is great, and we’re inviting them to join the real-life effort.”
“Regular people really are finding inspiration in Andor in this moment of creeping authoritarianism. There really is a hunger to get seriously involved across all kinds of communities, one that the Trump regime is underestimating.”

- Indivisible’s leadership, including co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin, are personal fans of Andor. In addition to recommending the show to activists, they've been working references to the show into trainings and news coverage.
