Washington, DC—Tonight, the Indivisible Project’s national political director Maria Urbina released the following statement:
“We are happy to congratulate Tedra Cobb on her victory in New York’s 21st District. Tedra has spent her entire career focused on ensuring her neighbors have what they need to live their lives with dignity. She is used to taking on the establishment to protect her friends and neighbors – and she’s used to winning uphill battles. She is ready to take on Rep. Stefanik in November,” said Maria Urbina, the national political director of the Indivisible Project.
“Candidates like Tedra Cobb are changing what is politically possible in districts across the country. We’re with Tedra from now through November.”
Tedra Cobb is one of the 23 candidates that the Indivisible Project has endorsed at the national level. To earn Indivisible’s national endorsement, a candidate must clear a tough three-stage process that requires buy-in from local Indivisible group members at multiple points.
