Washington, DC — Today, Mary Small, acting National Policy Director for Indivisible, issued the following statement:
“Congress is on the cusp of going home for the holidays without adequate financial assistance for families and workers struggling during a pandemic. Indivisible stands firm that passing a relief package that includes enhanced unemployment benefits and direct cash assistance should be Congress' top priority.
To that end, Indivisible strongly supports Rep. Jayapal and the Congressional Progressive Caucus in demanding that any COVID relief package include survival checks and enhanced UI - negotiators must prioritize workers and families. That is simply the bare minimum we should expect. The eight months people have gone without additional help has been too much compromise already."

ABOUT THE INDIVISIBLE PROJECT
The Indivisible Project (501c4) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people. Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
