WASHINGTON, D.C. --Today, the Indivisible Project issued the following statement:
"Today, we are remembering the life of Daunte Wright, the son of Katie Wright, a mother who is mourning the loss of her son at the hands of Brooklyn Center Minneapolis Police. Daunte’s name is now added to the shamefully long litany of names of those lost to police violence.
"We are holding close the people of Minnesota, a state still reeling from the effects of police violence and the murder of George Floyd. We are holding close the people of Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center, whose fight for justice and dignity against racially-motivated violence is ongoing.
"We're holding close the members of the Black community -- around the country, in our movement, and on our team -- who are waking to this stinging yet tragically familiar news in the midst of the mounting loss of a global pandemic.
"Our fights against oppression call on us to hold multitudes of individuals who have lost their lives over the two hundred plus years of violent action and institutional inaction. We will ground our collective fights for equity in our governing institutions to have a multiracial and just democracy. We will work to end state-sanctioned violence against communities of color. Enough is enough is enough.”

ABOUT THE INDIVISIBLE PROJECT
The Indivisible Project (501c4) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people. Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
