Washington, DC — Today, Mary Small, National Advocacy Director, issued the following statement: “Here we go again. I don’t know how many examples we need before Democrats finally understand that Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans do not negotiate in good faith. Now, this bipartisan infrastructure package is the latest addition to the litany of bills in which Republicans have dragged out negotiations to ensure the Senate doesn't deliver popular policies to the American people. In addition to stalling, Republicans have negotiated bad pay-fors, watered down climate provisions and excluded progressive priorities and yet STILL won’t move to debate the bill.
“We’re tired of watching this game, so certainly Senate Democrats are getting tired of playing it. Pass a bold reconciliation bill that rebuilds our economy, and doesn’t need Republican votes. Kill the filibuster so we can get to the business of governing. This is getting ridiculous.”

ABOUT THE INDIVISIBLE PROJECT
The Indivisible Project (501c4) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people. Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
