WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Indivisible’s co-executive director Leah Greenberg issued the following statement:
“From the beginning, the demand has been that the reconciliation bill be on the president’s desk at the same time or before passage of the BIF. We’re encouraged by the progress made this week on moving the reconciliation bill through the House. But to be clear, our expectations have not changed: the Build Back Better Act must pass both chambers before the House passes the BIF.
“Progressives have been good faith negotiators and repeatedly shown a willingness to compromise. Given the needs of our communities, passing the Build Back Better Act is non-negotiable, and the two-track process for reconciliation and the BIF must be maintained.
“We thank the progressives holding the line in Congress. We will continue to have their backs as they fight for the inclusive recovery the moment demands. It’s time to deliver.”

The Indivisible Project (501c4) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people. Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
