Washington, DC — Today, Indivisible co-executive director Ezra Levin released the following statement:
“Is Schumer still Senate Majority Leader, or has he prematurely ceded that role to the Republicans?
“Schumer’s priority should be filling all judicial vacancies during this final session, even if it means working late nights, weekends, and after the holidays to get around Senate Republicans’ obstruction. But instead, he is rewarding that Republican obstruction by conceding four critical circuit court seats for Trump to fill next year in exchange for a smoother confirmation process for district judges. Now those vacancies will be filled by MAGA sycophants instead of qualified judges who will protect our fundamental rights and freedoms.
We need our Democratic leaders to fight for our democracy, even when it's an uphill battle -- not to cut deals that give Trump more power just because the going gets hard.”

ABOUT THE INDIVISIBLE PROJECT
The Indivisible Project (501c4) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people. Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
