How to Hold Your Republican Representative Accountable for Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s been indicted for a whole list of serious crimes against American national security, yet he’s still the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination.

If you live in a district represented by a Republican, it's essential that you ask them if they'll support Trump as the nominee. If they won’t answer, stay on them. Ask them (or their staff) why someone who’s being indicted for endangering our national security and willfully breaking the law deserves to be President of the United States. Get them on the record, and don’t let them lie or pivot. Record their answer (or refusal to answer), publish it, and report back. We all deserve to know where they stand.

Republicans can't fly under the radar on this. As their constituent, you deserve answers — and we deserve better leaders.

We’ve had seven years of predictions that this time is different - that now, finally, Republicans will say ‘enough’ and break with Trump. It hasn’t happened yet. Even as Trump faces federal charges for espionage, Republicans are falling over each other to praise Trump and target President Biden and the Department of Justice. The loudest of these voices do more than just attract attention: they give cover to vulnerable Republicans who would very much like you to forget they exist right now. For the sake of the future of the American republic, it’s these vulnerable and quiet Republicans who deserve our full attention now. That means asking his fellow Republicans: do you really support a man for president who has now been indicted twice, this time under the literal Espionage Act?

Ask – ‘Will you support Trump as the nominee while he is under indictment for crimes against our national security?’

When:

ASAP! If they refuse to provide an answer, keep asking until they do.
