Indivisible has joined the global community in expressing our horror and grief at the loss of over 1,400 Israelis, Americans, and foreign citizens in Hamas’ horrific attacks on October 7, and echoed calls for all hostages to be released immediately.
Since then, the humanitarian situation in Gaza has deteriorated catastrophically with Israel’s ongoing bombardment and blockade of life-sustaining supplies like water, food, medicine, and power. The death toll continues to rise by the hour.
As of November 22, more than 12,000 people are confirmed to have been killed in Gaza, with two-thirds of them being women and children. Another 200 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank. More than 4,000 people are reported missing since the crisis began. Save the Children reports that more children have been killed in Gaza since October 7th than in global conflicts annually over the past 4 years. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are now internally displaced.
This is an international crisis with a mounting death toll on the road to further escalation. The risks of the crisis expanding regionally grow by the hour.
We are horrified by the situation and heartbroken at the human cost. Below is a compilation of Indivisble’s statements on the evolving situation.
