Today’s ruling from a MAGA judge – who was hand-selected to hear this case by the anti-abortion activists who brought it – is an audacious act of judicial meddling in our personal healthcare decisions.
Americans are tired of justices who act with this little regard to the law and as though they are immune from consequences – whether it’s Thomas and his lavish vacations or his colleague Samuel Alito’s alleged leak of a Supreme Court decision to right-wing anti-abortion activists, clearly the Court has gone off the rails and is in desperate need of reforms in order to restore its legitimacy.
Judge Janet Protasiewicz’s victory is a testament to her ability to connect with the voters through her commitment to protecting and fighting for every person’s right to choice, freedom, and democracy. She is beyond qualified, and will bring balance and much-needed perspective to the Supreme Court of Wisconsin.
