President Biden’s nominee hasn’t even been announced yet and Republicans are already tripping over themselves to say the most racist thing they can think of about her. Republicans in the Senate only know how to do three things: eat hot chip, be racist, and lie.
We thank Justice Breyer for his nearly 30 years of service on the United States Supreme Court. Over the course of his career, Justice Breyer authored opinions in decisions that upheld women's reproductive rights and criticized the continued use of the death penalty. We are also thankful for his judgement in his decision to step down at a time when President Biden can preserve the current balance of the court, rather than risking a vacancy under a Republican majority, which no doubt would have replaced him with someone at least as ideologically unhinged as Amy Coney Barrett or Brett Kavanaugh.
