In the wake of his failed preparation for and response to a catastrophic flood that killed dozens of young children and families in central Texas, Abbott is making his priority clear: insulating Republicans from voter backlash. Abbott rushed to action - not to deliver relief to those families, but to answer Trump’s call for a racist and partisan gerrymander to disenfranchise Texas voters. It’s disgusting.
